I’m having a passionate love affair with Neil Armstrong’s old mixtapes since my friend Mei played me ‘Sweeet’ and I managed to get my grubby mits on ‘Sweeet Vol2′ over the weekend. You can understand why Jay-Z hooked him for his world tour, and his old skool mixtapes take you back to some great, soulful joints. He passed through as I was Djing at a press day last week and I can tell you I was more than just slightly intimidated, not cos he’s a scary chap but because he’s Neil Armstrong the turntable don!
